Cheryl Hitchcock	After graduating in Physics, Cheryl worked at the Science Museum before joining the Open University in 1979 to write distance learning courses on electronics and computing. 	Dudley Thompson	Dudley worked for Rolls Royce before completing a PhD in Medical Engineering. He joined the Open University in 1978 to write distance learning courses in technology.
